Hiking: Discover the Beauty of the Krkonoše Ridges

  • Elbe Spring Trail (11 km circuit):
    The most popular route in the Krkonoše Mountains. The Medvědín cable car will take you up to an altitude of 1,235 m above sea level.
    Medvědín Upper Station – Vrbatova Bouda – Pančava Waterfall (the highest in the Czech Republic) – Elbe Spring and back.
  • White Elbe Valley (8 km):
    Centre – Dívčí Lávky – Bouda U Bílého Labe and back. This path is also suitable for fitter parents with off-road strollers.
  • Hike to Sněžka (18 – 20 km):
    Špindlerova Bouda (bus from the centre) – Obří Sedlo – Sněžka – and back via Luční Bouda and Kozí Hřbety to Špindl.

Nordic Walking: Healthy Movement in the Heart of the Mountains

Špindlerův Mlýn offers routes for complete beginners as well as demanding athletes. Just head out and embrace the tranquility of the mountain nature.

  • Circuit around Labská Dam (5 km):
    Minimal elevation gain, beautiful views of the water surface and surrounding forests.
  • Through the Valley of the White Elbe (8 km):
    Along a wild mountain river with many waterfalls. A long ascent to the U Bílého Labe chalet.
  • Ridge Route from Medvědín to the Elbe Spring (12 km):
    Walking along the ridges via Vrbatova bouda offers breathtaking panoramas.

Cycling Routes: Krkonoše from the Bike Saddle

  • Family Route to Labská Dam (5 – 6 km):
    Center – along the Elbe River – Labská Dam and back, very easy.
  • Panoramic Descent from Medvědín (7 – 9 km):
    Upper station Medvědín – Horní Mísečky – along the ski slope or forest road back to Špindl, low difficulty (mostly downhill).
  • Around Stoh Mountain to Klínové Boudy (15 – 18 km):
    Upper station Pláň – Krásná Pláň – Klínové Boudy – Chalupa Na Rozcestí – and back via Strážné or Svatý Petr (medium ridge route).

Bikepark Špindl: Adrenaline and freedom on two wheels

The Bikepark in Svatý Petr is among the best in Europe, and it operates approximately from mid-May, depending on the cable car operation. 

The main hub offers 6 trails of varying difficulty, which are interconnected. A modern six-seater cable car will comfortably take you and your bike to the start.

If you prefer a more relaxed ride, take the cable car to Medvědín. Wide paths and well-maintained trail sections are ideal for a leisurely descent back into the valley with breathtaking views of the Pančavský Waterfall.

Winter in Špindl

Ski Resort Špindlerův Mlýn: A Skiing Paradise at Your Fingertips

It offers over 27 km of perfectly groomed slopes, ideal for relaxed family skiing on Medvědín, carving enthusiasts in the Svatý Petr area, or night skiing on Hromovka.

Ski Buses and Parking

Right by the hotel, you can take advantage of a free ski bus that will transport you to the boarding station. This service is available during the main season from December to March.

Bobsled Track: A Fast Ride with Mountain Views

It is one of the most sought-after attractions in the entire Krkonoše Mountains. A ride over 1,400 meters long awaits you, featuring 22 turns, 5 jumps, and 3 tunnels. Speed enthusiasts can whiz down at up to 65 km/h. It is open all year round, in all weather conditions.

Toboggan Run: 4 km of Pure Joy

The longest illuminated toboggan run in the Czech Republic, with an elevation gain of 400 meters. Buses to the start (to Špindlerova bouda) depart directly from the town center. Sleds can be rented at the start and simply returned at the finish.
